I am a lifelong Seattle resident and graduate of the University of Washington and the University of Washington School of Law. I have been licensed to practice in the State of Washington since 1990. For several years, I had the honor of serving the citizens of King County as a Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in the King County Prosecutor’s Office.
My extensive litigation experience and has included appearances as counsel in the Superior Courts of King, Pierce, Snohomish, and Kitsap Counties; the Court of Appeals; and the Washington Supreme Court.
My law practice focuses on both contested and uncontested probate, trust and guardianship cases, as well as on estate planning. I am a registered Guardian ad Litem for King County Superior Court, and am a member of both the Washington and King County Bar Associations, as well as Washington Women Lawyers and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Within the Washington State Bar Association, I am a member of the Elder Law, Alternate Dispute Resolution, and Real Property, Probate and Trusts sections. Within the King County Bar Association, I am a member of the Guardianship and Elder Law, Solo/Small Firms, Real Property, Probate and Trust, And Alternate Dispute Resolution sections, as well as the Judiciary and Litigation Committee. I am also a member of the Judicial Evaluation Committee of Washington Women Lawyers. I have presented at numerous Continuing Legal Education Seminars on various topics, including Guardianships, Probate, Estate Planning and Ethics.
In addition to my work in law, I also enjoy volunteering in our community. I volunteer on a weekly basis at Childhaven; am the president of the Pacific Northwest Ballet School Parents’ Association; am a member of the Parent Board at Holy Names Academy; and am an active volunteer at Pacific Crest School.
